Awesome Early Holiday Recipes to Use FREED CBD Oil With

With holiday season coming up soon, many of us are already eager to get in the kitchen and start preparing our very favorite holiday treats.  This time of year, a lot of us embrace our inner baker and prepare seasonal cookies, pies and other baked goods for ourselves and our loved ones.

CBD Pumpkin Pie

Pumpkin pie is a staple of the holiday season, with its rich and creamy flavor that makes us think of sitting around a table with our loved ones.  This pumpkin pie recipe is easy to make, and even the most inexperienced bakers can impress friends and family.

Ingredients:

  • Store-bought, pre-made pie crust
  • 15oz can pureed pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
  • 1 ¼ cups evaporated milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • ¾ cups white sugar
  • 1-2 drops of CBD oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice

Preparation:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine all of the ingredients, minus the pie crust and mix together with a whisk until a smooth batter comes together. 
  3. Pour this batter into the pie crust.
  4. Bake for about 90 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the pie comes out clean.

CBD Thumbprint Cookies

There’s nothing like the smell of cookies in the oven throughout the holidays.  These thumbprint cookies are a holiday staple, and they’re all the more enjoyable with some help from the hemp plant.

Ingredients:

  • 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
  • 2/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 egg yolks (whites removed)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 drops of CBD oil
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 1/3 cups flour
  • ½ cup of your favorite fruit jam

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. 
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, sugar, and cream together using an electric beater. 
  4. Add one egg yolk at a time, followed by the sugar. 
  5. Then, beat in the vanilla extract and CBD oil.
  6. Slowly beat in the salt, followed by the flour, until a smooth dough forms.
  7. Use a tablespoon to portion out each cookie, and then roll it into a ball. 
  8. Place each ball of dough onto your baking sheet.
  9. Press your thumb into the center of each cookie to form an indentation. 
  10. Use a spoon to fill each indentation with jam.
  11. Bake for about 14 minutes, or until the bottom of each cookie is golden-brown.

CBD Gingerbread Cake

A gingerbread cake embraces the flavors of the season while offering a great alternative to the more commonplace gingerbread cookie.  With aromatic spices and a moist, rich cake base, it’s a sure crowd pleaser.

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 stick unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
  • Large egg, beaten
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1-2 drops of CBD oil
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • A tsp ground ginger
  • Single tsp ground nutmeg
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup hot water
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. 
  2. Grease a 9×13 baking pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, use a beater to cream together the butter and sugar. 
  4. Add the egg and the molasses, followed by the CBD oil, while beating.
  5. Into another mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients with a whisk.  Then, slowly pour into the wet ingredients while beating on low.  Add the hot water and mix into a smooth, thin batter.
  6. Pour the batter into the baking tray and bake for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
  7. Wait for the cake to cool before topping with whipped cream.
